Latest from Dash

The Dash platform will be launching the new version of protocol and some new options.

Dash has recently announced about its fourth update. I general the platform normally issues new functionalities every six weeks, so the next update is expected between October 6 and 20.

Dash mentioned that new update will be related to more easier transition to a testnet and mainnet for developers. Recently developers needed to erase data on Evonet and upgrade their platform software with each new release. The company officials mentioned:

“While this approach is fine for early testing, it is not appropriate for testnet and mainnet. To handle different versions of data, nodes, and clients all working in coordination, DCG developers introduced versioning that allows for the smooth rollout of breaking changes without affecting user experience.”

Other new functionalities consist of document binary properties enabling developers to define binary fields in a data contract, perfections in the Dash Platform Name Service like topping up a default name feature, refactoring its JavaScript library, improvements in the distribution package and changes to the DAPI end points.
