Gemini cryptocurrency exchange, founded by the Winklevoss brothers, began operations in the UK. Gemini users can now fund their UK Pound accounts using cards or bank transfers.
The exchange also supports the payment systems Faster Payments Service (FPS), Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS) and SWIFT.
The register of the British Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) states that Gemini is represented by two subsidiaries: Gemini Europe Ltd and Gemini Europe Services Ltd.
The first is responsible for fiat payments, the second is responsible for the storage of cryptocurrencies and transactions on the trading platform.
