Bitcoin price falls today

On Wednesday, August 26, the bitcoin price falls. At 09:35 UTC, the first cryptocurrency is trading at $11,352.38 (-2.68%), according to CoinMarketCap.

BTC/USD chart of Bitstamp from TradingView Ether fell to $382.83 (-4.18%).

XRP fell 2.99% to $0.277. Previously, the number of addresses containing at least 1,000 bitcoins exceeded 2,000, reaching a maximum in a year.

The previous maximum was set on September 28, 2019 at 2184. The total number of bitcoins on such addresses is 7,868,823, which corresponds to $92 billion.

According to analysts, this trend may indicate a desire for the accumulation of cryptocurrency among large investors. At the same time, data from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) futures market suggests that institutional short bitcoin volume is currently at historic highs, reflecting bearish expectations in the short term.
